Are you looking for a great career, with excellent pay and benefits, and a schedule that allows you to enjoy family and hobbies outside of work?We're a 75-year old, family-owned company passionate about our mission of Impacting Lives through Exceptional Service.Summary:To operate a tractor trailer to deliver products to customers and provide excellent customer service at the time of delivery.Supervisory Responsibilities:• NoneEssential Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work area.• Must comply with DOT regulations as well as company rules and regulations.• Report to work with neat appearance including the company uniform.• Must always maintain a professional attitude and deliver excellent customer service.• Drive the truck to the designated stop and make deliveries to customers in a safe and efficient manner.• Unload case groceries and totes that are hand stacked in the trick by using a two-wheeler and ramp.• Check the invoice for refrigerated items and if necessary, climb into the front compartment of the trailer to retrieve these items for delivery.• Take the loaded two-wheeler into the store and leave the items in a predetermined area.• Loads any damaged or returned items back into the truck for return to the warehouse.• Deliveries require extensive paperwork including driver logs.• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and report to work on time for dispatch.• Must have a home telephone and be available for unscheduled duty.• Must be willing to be gone from home overnight and possibly two or three nights a week.• Required to attend safety meeting and other events as scheduled.• Immediately report all vehicle accidents and personal injuries.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience:• Prefer two (2) years safe driving experience or completion of the GSC Driver Trainee program.Language Skills:• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.• Ability to write routine correspondence.• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers.Reasoning Ability:• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Certificates, License, Registration:• Valid Texas Class A - CDL LicenseComputer Skills:• NoneOther Qualifications:• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.• No more than two (2) violations on the MVR.• Must pass the DOT physical and Drug screen.• Ability to lift, up to 115 pounds.• Must live within a 30-mile radius of the distribution center and have a home telephone.• Must be available for unscheduled duty.• Personable• Self-Motivated.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance; stoop and kneel.
Position required bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move more than 100 pounds.
The ramp weighs 115 pounds and must be pulled out and put back at each stop.
The driver is required to handle at least 300 pounds rolling weight on the two-wheeler.
The driver must handle the two-wheeler on the ramp and may be required to pull uneven surfaces when wheeling the groceries into the store.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
