*About Us: *
Avatar Residential Detox & Recovery Center in New Jersey provides inpatient rehabilitation, detox, outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, specialty therapy options, and co-occurring disorder treatments, all tailored to individual needs.
*Position: *
The clinician performs various patient care tasks under the Clinical Director's guidance, including managing caseloads, providing therapy, conducting assessments, collaborating on treatment plans, coordinating discharge planning, and maintaining communication with families and referral sources.
*Specific Responsibilities: *
* Provides excellent individual and group therapy to assigned clients following the program curriculum provided by the Clinical
* Completes all required documentation, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards,*,* and Medical Needs Criteria.
This includes the following documents:
* Biopsychosocial Assessment
* Integrated Summary
* Comprehensive Problem List
* Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates
* Discharge summary
* Effectively uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plan goals and objectives and complete
* Effectively prepares patient for maintaining sobriety post
* Maintain referent contact weekly or as required by the Clinical Director.
* Demonstrates sufficient comprehension of the 12 Steps, SMART Recovery, and Substance Use Disorders
* Consistently identifies department improvement areas by studying data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcome.

* Maintains healthy boundaries with patients and staff

* Participates in Quality Improvement activities and contributes to the success of the organization
* Pursues professional development through participation in education and training programs
* Contributes positively to the morale of other staff
* Performs other tasks as assigned
* Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
* At least two (2) years of clinical experience in the mental health field (additional training may substitute for one year
* Licensed in the State of New Jersey with one of the following:
* LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor) Required
* LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) \*\*A Plus\*\*
* LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) \*\*A Plus\*\*
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* Demonstrates proficiency in communication and writing skills
* Knowledge of State and Federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws
* Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
