Duke Health Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopaedic SurgeonDuke Orthopaedic Surgery Orthopaedic Hand /Upper Extremity Surgeon Job Description Duke Orthopaedics seeks a fellowship-trained Hand and Upper Extremity orthopaedic surgeon to join our community-based, hybrid-academic practice in Raleigh, NC. Duke Health Raleigh is located in the fastest growing area of North Carolina, offering the opportunity to rapidly build a robust hand practice and be part of a leading orthopaedic academic department.Duke Orthopaedics brings excellence to the greater Raleigh area by providing a wide array of orthopedic services and a high-quality continuum of care for patients of all ages.Opportunity:The position will be based at the Duke Raleigh Practices in Raleigh, part of the Duke University Health System since 1998 and minutes from downtown Raleigh.90% Clinical and 10% Academic role, this physician can expect 2-3 OR days per week with an outstanding facility and teams.Support for research is available throughout the broad range of the academic disciplines at Duke University to meet the goals and interests of this new faculty member.Academic rank will be based on training and experience with research and clinical productivity measures to guide clinical track. Duke's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery cares for all injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, the Department provides subspecialty clinics in the specific areas of major joint reconstruction, sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics, foot, hand, spine, trauma, oncology, reconstructive microsurgery, and rehabilitation.
Our multidisciplinary approach, which links the expertise of specialists in orthopaedic surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and orthopaedic nursing insures that each patient receives the most appropriate and responsive treatment.
