Purpose of the role: To ensure luxury resort standards of safety, function, and aesthetic appeal for all resort buildings, furnishings, and equipment.
Responsibilities: To understand and respond to all guests needs in timely and professional manner.To satisfactorily perform routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the property including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, carpentry, painting and all other types of work that the individual has been properly trained to perform.To be completely familiar with standards established by the Chief Engineer.To conduct daily inspections of areas and equipment as assigned and perform tasks required to ensure proper operation.To maintain all areas in safe and sanitary conditions.To ensure safe work practices of Housekeeping staff, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment.To ensure proper handling , storage, and labeling of all hazardous chemical used by housekeeping staff, in accordance with state and federal regulations.To represent PlumpJack in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote the Restaurants internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property.To promote and comply with all policies and procedures of PlumpJack.To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.To perform other tasks, including cross training, as directed.To adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy as outlined in the PlumpJack Employee Handbook.Candidate requirements: Must have minimum one year experience in related field - trained in air conditioning and refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.English fluency required.Must be able to read and interpret simple blue prints related to property maintenance.Detail oriented, organized and efficient.Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.Courteous, friendly and professional manner.Good team player.Customer service focus.Able to work productively with little supervision.Trustworthy and reliable.Working Conditions: Works in all areas inside and outside of the property.Outdoors: May be exposed to weather conditions. Works on all ground surfaces, including concrete, soil, and grass. Extensive property with stairs. Some exposure to hazardous substance and fumes. Some exposure to noise of power-driven machinery. May work in confined, difficult to access areas.
Physical Demands: Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Strength, flexibility, and good reflexes needed to operate staging and mechanized material moving devices, and to operate power-driven machinery. Regularly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over short distances.
