Position Summary
Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position in the Child Development Center.
Start Date
Position available on or after September 3, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Arrive to work promptly.
Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
Supervise and manage children in care.
Supervise and implement daily activities, curriculum and routines.
Assist co-teachers in daily classroom preparation work and clean up of rooms.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents and other center staff.
Establish a supportive and nurturing relationships with children and families.
treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self- esteem.
Maintain knowledge of all growing regulations and ensure all health and safety protocols.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates completion of a minimum of 15 Child Development units (with passing grades).
Possesses a valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate.
Demonstrates previous experience working at a child care center.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Special Conditions

Salary Range
$16.00 per hour
