The Site Manager, provides day-to-day leadership and management of Agape programs, ensuring participants experience the full benefits of equine-based activities. This includes actively participating in and overseeing the instructional aspects of direct services to ensure that our programs are safe, effective, enjoyable, progressive, and challenging. You will be a proactive ambassador for Agape, effectively communicating our mission and the transformative benefits of therapeutic horsemanship programs.
In your capacity coordinating volunteers, you will manage our selfless volunteers through recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, retention, appreciation, coaching, and education. You will model our organizational culture and foster a strong community by building long-term volunteer relationships and inspiring enthusiasm for our mission. While experience with horses and individuals with disabilities is preferred, a strong enjoyment of managing people is essential, as you will train volunteers to succeed in their roles with participants and horses.

Location: In-person: Primarily Greenfield, IN (Agape East); Occasional travel to Cicero, IN (Agape North) [Relocate before starting work (Required)]

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Primary ResponsibilitiesI. Site Management & Development Oversee daily operations and programming at Agape East, including budget management and collaboration with the Program Director.Build partnerships with organizations and represent Agape at community events, working closely with the Executive Director and Marketing team.Ensure the facility is safe, organized, and well-maintained in collaboration with the Facility Manager.Maintain adherence to PATH International standards and provide tours to guests.II. Program Oversight & Development Manage and lead instructors, ensuring programs are safe, effective, and enjoyable.Oversee participant enrollment, progress tracking, and program evaluations, while collaborating with the PD for improvements.Recruit new students and community partners for participation and volunteering.III. Equine Responsibilities Monitor and care for horses' physical and mental conditions, ensuring they are fit for daily tasks.Collaborate with the Equine Manager on training, health, and care.Maintain equine-related documentation and first aid supplies.IV. Instructor & Program Facilitation Design individualized lesson plans, monitor instructional areas, and enforce safety rules.Conduct student assessments, document client progress, and provide updates to caregivers.Support class volunteers and interns, communicating any concerns to the PD.Manage volunteer records, scheduling, and training, ensuring quality and safety in programming.Address volunteer performance and conflicts as needed, offering ongoing training opportunities.Organize volunteer recruitment, retention, and appreciation activities, while collaborating on corporate and event volunteer needs.Coordinate monthly volunteer orientations and maintain up-to-date training materials.VI. Administrative Responsibilities Manage volunteer and participant data in Salesforce, run background checks, and ensure all paperwork is current.Provide communication to riders and volunteers regarding programming updates.Record staff meeting minutes and handle general administrative tasks as assigned.Qualifications & Required SkillsRequired: PATH CTRI Certified (or ability to obtain within a year); CPR/First Aid/AED Certified (or ability to obtain soon after hiring).Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social work, non-profit management, equine science, teaching, behavioral health, special education, communications, human resources, or related fields.Strong technology proficiency, especially with Google Workspace and Salesforce.2+ years of experience managing people with excellent interpersonal skills: flexible, empathetic, accountable.Creative problem-solver with excellent communication, attention to detail, and personal ownership of tasks.Proven ability to manage multiple projects, time, and staff while staying adaptable to visitor and participant needs.Team player with a positive, forward-thinking attitude.
