Echocardiographic Technologist

Overview Echocardiographic Technologists perform diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of heart disease in patients of all ages.
This includes performing echocardiograms and stress testing.
This is a PRN position.

Qualifications Education: Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required, or registry eligible.
Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required.
Experience: Three to five years of echocardiography experience preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and patient care skills.
Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of sectional anatomy and select appropriate technical factors and imaging modes.
Obtain and utilize pertinent medical history to ensure optimum exams.
Coordinate echocardiographic procedures with other departments.
Ensure prompt completion of exams and maintain patient rapport.
Respond promptly to STAT requests and perform sonograms within required time frames.
Assist in other sections of the Cardiology Department as needed.
Perform clerical tasks and recommend equipment/supply purchases.
