Responsibilities
• Structure, price, and execute a variety of interest rate derivative products (e.g., interest rate swaps, caps, floors, swaptions, and cancellables)
• Cover a wide variety of clients, ranging from middle market, corporate, real estate, and more
• Engage clients (CEOs, CFOs, mgmt teams, and boards) directly to discuss hedging strategies, and provide concrete recommendations, based on their unique business needs and capital structure
• Develop and maintain a significant presence with the TCB Banking team, to identify and capitalize on new leads and deepen existing client relationships
• Work with various internal teams - bankers, relationship managers, back office operations, and others - to effectively manage the full trade lifecycle, from initial inception, through closing and trade execution, and beyond
• Assist other internal teams in ensuring trade confirmations, payments, and other materials are executed adequately, to manage client expectations and adhere to regulatory requirements
• Help construct regular market commentary for external clients and internal business partners
• Help train junior front office staff
Qualifications
• Seven to fifteen (7-15) years' experience marketing interest rate derivative products within a regional or global investment bank
• Must possess a deep understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, fixed income products, interest rate curve construction, derivative valuation (delta 1 and non-linear), and various pricing methodologies and hedging strategies
• Must be technical in nature, but able to articulate complex subjects in a manner that is easy to comprehend
• Must be familiar with ISDA documentation, CSAs, credit underwriting, and all regulatory guidelines
• Must be comfortable researching and analyzing a client's current financial state, and recommending / explaining appropriate derivative structures to fit the clients' specific needs and goals
• Will require light traveling, as needed (~10-20%)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Must be highly ethical, positive, and intellectually curious, with strong oral and written communication skills.
The ability to remain calm and operate effectively under pressure, and a high degree of organization and attention to detail are imperative.
• Experience in commodity derivatives marketing viewed favorably
• The level of this position may be either a Managing Director or Executive Director, depending on experience
Please note this position requires the employee to be in the office full-time.
There is not presently an option for remote or hybrid work.
