Summary:
The EDI Consultant is responsible for ensuring the stability of the electronic data interchange (EDI) processes within the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environment.
This role ensures seamless and accurate data exchange between the organization and its trading partners through the IBM Value-Added Network (VAN).
Duties & Responsibilities: EDI Transaction Management and Support Assist in the maintenance, testing, and setup of EDI transactions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator under the direction of current EDI team members.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to EDI transactions and data integration.
Work sporadically with internal customers and trading partners to ensure EDI standards and requirement compliance.
Ensure the accurate and timely exchange of data between the company and its trading partners via the IBM VAN. Project Management: Manage project tasks and timelines effectively. Compliance and Documentation: Lead the development and maintenance of detailed records of EDI transactions, configurations, and any changes made to the system.
Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations, standards, and security policies.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description represent the significant responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with EDI systems, preferably with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in EDI standards and protocols. Additional Skills: Familiarity with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and its capabilities or similar packages.
Knowledge of various EDI formats (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
Experience with transfer protocols: SFTP, FTP, and various communication methods VAN, OFTP2.
Experience with business processes.
Familiarity with SAP 4/Hana and BTP a plus.
Familiarity with Fortra Automate solutions is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
