Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Marshall, MN is currently seeking applicants for an EHS Assistant. Responsible for conducting safety audits/investigations, reporting the root cause analysis, implementing changes to safety needs, and cultivating and aiming to improve the safety standard with knowledge and education of policies and standards.
What you will be doing:
Investigate incidents/accidents and report them to the EHS Supervisor and plant management. Implement changes, as needed or instructed.Educate employees on policies and standards centered around safety needs.Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, local, state, and corporate EHS regulations and requirements.Assist with maintaining records, may assist with presenting EHS presentations, and evaluate EHS records and key performance indicators (incident logs, utilities, etc.)Assist with maintaining ISO standards.Assist with workplace ergonomics and safety program solutions.Act as a first responder and safety committee member.Organize, conduct, and maintain training documentation and certificates under guidance of EHS Supervisor.Conduct safety walkthroughs and inspections.Assist with internal and external audits.Participate in Safety Committee meetings.Assist with Environmental, Safety and Industrial Hygiene tests, audits and reports as directed by EHS Supervisor.Acts as support and backup for Hazardous Waste shipments.May require minimal travel as directed by EHS Supervisor.Perform additional duties as directed by EHS Supervisor.What you will bring along:
Commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices, highly preferred.Strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-starter.Ability to work both independently as well as a team member.Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.Manufacturing experience or exposure highly beneficial.CPR, EMT, Audit or other Health and Safety experience, is a plus.What can we offer you for your talent:
