Job Summary: The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Director at Elevation Labs is responsible for ensuring the organization's full compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role includes overseeing the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of EHS policies, ensuring that all manuals and procedures are consistently updated to reflect any changes in laws and regulations. The EHS Director plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the company's EHS Management SharePoint Software to ensure effective management of all EHS-related activities and documentation. Oversee the submission, acquisition, and renewal of permits, licenses, and authorizations necessary for compliance with regulatory requirements across all manufacturing and operational sites. Manage the safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including coordination of environmental remediation efforts when required. Ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting to meet local, state, and federal EHS regulatory requirements. Lead the management of the company's health program, ensuring that all necessary protective measures are in place to maintain employee exposure levels below defined limits. Establish and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations. Provide employees with necessary safety equipment, develop and monitor safety indicators, and manage the OSHA 300 log, ensuring accurate posting and filing. Oversee the Company's security and incident investigation systems. Conduct incident reviews using security camera system. Send out incident investigation reports and recommendations to the leadership team. Promote a culture of risk awareness by training and sensitizing all employees to safe work practices and regulations. Lead the company's Safety Committee to enhance overall safety efforts. Serve as the company's Product Steward, responsible for assisting in the development of finished goods Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Oversee the company's pest control program. Manage worker's compensation claims in partnership with Human Resources. Oversee the submission of environmental, social, and governance activities and audits. Maintain proactive working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. Coordinate inspections, promptly address potential deficiencies, and implement corrective actions. Knowledge & Skills: High level of ownership and contribution Interpret, apply, and comply with government regulations Analytical skills and accuracy in data recording Problem-solving and process-oriented Sets an environment of continuous improvement to ensure maximum results Balances immediate and long-term priorities Able to motivate and guide employees / show empathy while being strict Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient computer skills Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences or equivalent professional experience At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutic, food or chemical industry Have obtained or is in the process of obtaining an Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand Frequently required to walk Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel Frequently reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Work Environment: Manufacturing setting with moving machinery Regularly required to work in areas where chemical materials are encountered Regularly required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety Travel up to 20% In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are disclosing the compensation range for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Colorado. Compensation for similar positions located outside of Colorado may differ. If performed in Colorado, the base salary for this position generally ranges between $140,000 - $160,000, with an opportunity for an annual discretionary bonus dependent upon individual and company performance versus goals. This salary range may vary based on relevant factors including but not limited to experience, education, performance, scope of responsibilities, location and other considerations permitted by law.
