Summary:

Powin is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic EHS Field Specialist to serve as a member of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team.
The EHS Field Specialist is responsible for applying knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations to ensure compliance and establish an injury-free environment.
You will provide guidance by overseeing field-related installation activities, conducting inspections and hazard assessments, representing the EHS team in root cause analysis efforts for injuries and incidents, following through with corrective actions and assisting with training efforts.


Job Details: Perform site health and safety investigations to ensure proper corrective and preventative measures have been implemented Lead incident investigations and reporting, including injuries, illnesses, thermal events, property damage, etc.
to ensure timely and compliant resolutions.
Recommend improvements based on performed trend analysis Facilitate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements in United States and abroad (federal, provincial, state, local) Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Powin's internal stakeholders in Field Services, Project Success, Installation and Commissioning, the Remote Operating Center, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, Facilities, Human Resources, Global Manufacturing, Sales and Technical Services Facilitate operational learning of near misses, incidents and corrective/preventive action processes and develop EHS metrics Provide proactive support and oversight of field-based installation activities to ensure employee and contractor safety Participate in the emergency response team and provide coordination efforts with field-based entry and remediation efforts Facilitate a no-harm safety culture guided by human performance principles and operational learning Submit, track and trend hazards and incidents to facilitate continual improvement of EHS governance Support the implementation of safety-related written programs and trainings, specifically those pertaining to emergency response, personal protective equipment, heat illness prevention, electrical safety, fall protection and the control of hazardous energy Review newly drafted policies, procedures, programs, plans and work instructions.
Provide EHS considerations relating to compliance and regulations Track employee training assignments, completions, and metrics as they relate to Powin's safety targets and goals Support efforts of the Safety Committee Other job duties as assigned Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, other related degree, or equivalent experience required 3-5 years of experience in a designated safety role in a manufacturing or construction setting Experience with OSHA's safety standards, including the control of hazardous energy, electrical safety, PPE, working at heights, fall protection, emergency response, lifting and rigging, and ergonomics Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards and regulations Demonstrated ability to work with and provide safety leadership to external contracting companies and with multiple levels of the Powin organization, including technicians, managers, directors, and support departments towards creating a No Harm Safety Culture Experience using risk assessment processes, including knowledge of risk management practices and root cause analysis Experience with participating in an emergency response team or with emergency response efforts Strong working knowledge of cross-functional EHS disciplines Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Experience using an incident and near miss reporting system Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and pivot focus quickly when necessary Excellent time management skills, including multi-tasking, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Willingness and ability to travel to support job sites, contract manufacturers, suppliers, etc., at short notice when needed.
Travel up to 30% Able to work flexible hours to support international teams, as needed

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills.
The national Average Base Salary Range is $74,000-$98,000.
Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
