About the Job: Electrical Automation Controls Systems Engineer in the Service Department We are offering an exciting opportunity to become an Electrical Automation Controls Systems Engineer within our service department. Compensation: Up to $120,000 annually
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluating customer requirements and creating automated solutions to meet those needs Designing and building custom industrial automation machines from concept to completion Developing electrical controls and power distribution systems tailored to specific applications Undertaking the detailed design of electrical hardware components Programming and integrating robots, servos, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Implementing and configuring Vision Systems for automated processes Conducting comprehensive testing of the automation equipment to ensure functionality and safety Providing ongoing maintenance and support for custom machinery Traveling to domestic and international client sites to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade equipment, encompassing up to 25% travel Generating detailed quotations and proposals for clients based on their specifications Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar field At least four years of experience in custom machine design Minimum of three years of experience in electrical hardware design Three or more years proficiency in programming robots, HMI, and PLCs Extensive experience (three or more years) with Vision Systems Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time, including international trips Solid work history showing reliability and commitment to previous roles Legal status as United States citizen or Green Card holder Lives within a 45-minute commute of the Pewaukee, Wisconsin area Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degrees in engineering or management Certifications in PLC programming, robot programming, or similar Prior experience in a client-facing engineering role Exposure to multinational project teams and collaborations Previous roles in industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in the use of CAD and other engineering software tools Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion Capability to work effectively in both team settings and independently
