The Electrical/Controls Project Engineer supports service center operations and project engineering by focusing on controls troubleshooting, plant efficiency, training, and project implementations. Based at our Green Bay Corporate Office, the Engineer assists North American service centers in identifying software and control improvements and LEAN initiatives. Responsibilities include developing new equipment designs and control schemes to enhance Tosca's wash operations. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with operations teams and driving change management and continuous improvement efforts across Tosca's wash facilities. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Job Responsibilities: Partner with operations leadership to create programs that drive annual cost efficiencies to include functional proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems Provide plant training and develop team members as required with new projects and ongoing troubleshooting. Collect information for ongoing data mining & analysis to ensure effective problem-solving and solutions. Coordinate cross-functional site participation and alignment regarding engineering processes and functions, focusing on integration with production, quality, safety, corporate sustainability efforts, and logistics goals. Interact with internal and external customers on engineering and solution developments to answer their questions and deliver on expectations, objectives, and project goals. Evaluate, in partnership with the Director of Engineering, Logistics, and Operations, the appropriate process workflows and equipment needed to efficiently process Tosca's products and deliver them to our customers. Manage smaller engineering projects and rollouts while achieving successful operational goals that meet time and cost targets concerning contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. Assist in troubleshooting electrical and control issues, at times on off hours. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering 3-5 years of previous progressive engineering experience, including process controls layout and design Experience with Network communications, robotics, vision systems, and barcode systems is a plus Technical ability with PLC, HMI, and Drive programming (with a focus on Rockwell) Understanding of manufacturing workflow, including planning and maintenance activities Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional and team-based environment Strong communication skills and the ability to be a team player are a must Problem-solving, solution-based critical thinking, and decision making skills are essential  Ability to apply your knowledge of Lean principals Ability to provide leadership in the Tosca culture, including initiative,, drive and motivation Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% of the time Why Tosca?
