Electrical Engineer - Autonomy & RoboticsDoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We are working on building autonomous delivery robots from the ground-up and other automation solutions as part of DoorDash's core delivery platform. About the RoleIn this role you will help build the next generation of robotic systems within DoorDash Labs from the ground up! You will work with an excellent engineering team to solve novel problems that will drastically change last mile logistics. We're a team of people who live and breathe building robots and complex electromechanical systems. We're unfazed by challenges or new problems and strive to build world class solutions.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture our new autonomous delivery robot platformWork with our Hardware Engineering and Technician teams to prepare for our launch.Ship tangible product concepts that make a meaningful impact on a billion dollar business.Play a key role in architecting and designing a wide range of electrical systems on our next generation delivery robots.Have a large impact in a small team, collaborating with every other team on the project with many disciplines and stakeholders.We're excited about you because you have…A B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Electrical Engineering.3+ years of industry experience, especially in the autonomous vehicle/automotive industries.Experience taking board designs from product definition through PCB production.Experience with DC power management systems, especially in automotive applications.Experience with ethernet/PCIe/USB/MIPI/GMSL2/SPI/I2C in automotive/autonomous vehicle applications. Knowledge of signal/power integrity enhancement is a big plus.Working knowledge of RF and antenna systems specifically for GNSS/WiFi/Cellular.Experience with harness design for SI/PI applications.Experience with electric vehicle or mobile robotics safety systems.Experience designing and troubleshooting complex systems including debugging ground loops, localized noise mitigation, and multi-voltage power systems.Experience working with contract manufacturers and prior experience in scaling hardware designs.Designed circuits and harness drawings in Altium Designer/Allegro Cadence.A passion for building robots and autonomous vehicles.CompensationThe successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
$122,400 — $180,000 USD
