Looking to bring on an Entry Level Electrical Engineer in May 2025.
This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing oil and gas facility electrical systems.
This position will also offer the opportunity to support the design of power plants and other industrial facilities.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
Assist the project lead in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
Support the project lead in coordinating systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Assist in preparing detailed calculations, including three phase power transient studies, voltage drop, and protective relay settings.
Involvement in preparing documentation for design input for drawing production.
Interface with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.
Qualifications:
We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. Essential skills and experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date of Spring 2025 or earlier from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
EIT, preferred.
Knowledge in Oil and Gas or industrial plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities.
Knowledge with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
Construction and start-up experience a plus.
Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design.
Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
Experience in reviewing other engineers design calculations and drawings.
Salary Range $72,000 - $82,000
