Job Scope
The Green Tree Engineer II (Electrical Engineer) will be responsible for supporting all commercialized equipment product lines produced at the Green Tree and Glenwood facilities. This will include technical support and troubleshooting and acting as a liaison between Production and Design Engineering / R&D. This also will include making simple updates to Bills of Material and drawings. Any complex changes (affecting form, fit, function) will go through the corporate Engineering Change Management process.
Key Responsibilities
Supports all equipment built and offered by the Green Tree and Glenwood facilities
Owns plant specific documentation used in the manufacturing and testing of commercialized products
Responsible for working with the shop's hourly work force to identify and correct problems pertaining to equipment
Complies with applicable plant codes and standards
Assists in the development and implementation of new product procedures related to identifying and solving safety, quality, and production problems
Works closely with the Innovation Engineers to finalize prototype equipment to be commercialized and offered through both facilities
Provides similar level of technical equipment support to the Glenwood, IL facility as needed (~ 10% travel required to the Glenwood facility)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Three or more years of experience in an electrical engineering support role in a production environment
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
ERP/MRP experience (e.g., familiar working with Bills of Material within an ERP environment)
Able to work in a fabrication environment (i.e., dust, fumes, odors, and noise)
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in industrial equipment design
One or more years of experience in product development
Prior experience working with equipment certification (e.g., UL, CE, and NSF)
SAP experience
PLC programming experience
