Circuit board and circuit board programming Responsible for developing and maintaining electronics for medical devices.
Specific responsibilities include definition, documentation, prototyping, testing and debugging, qualification, and release to production of reliable and cost effective electronic solutions Evaluate and optimize product concepts for function (e.g., fit, function, interference, etc.
), manufacturability, packaging and material handling Generate product prototypes, perform product testing and ensure that products function properly, meet specifications, and timing objectives Develop and evaluate cost analysis for new and modified product concepts from design through production launch to maximize product value.
Assist in the process of bringing the product to mass production Work on special projects as assigned such as evaluating competitive product, new processes and technologies Provides Technical support in solving electronic product quality problems with existing products Improve the electronics development process, in order to guarantee the quality, improve the time-to-market and increase the efficiency Responsible to meet electrical safety compliance requirements (FDA, CE, UL, NEC, FCC and others) and coordinate product compliance testing Work on selection and standardization of key components Responsible for managing the resources that maintain engineering documentation such as bills of material, procedures and other types of engineering documentation in DCD Major design areas include supplies, batteries, printed circuit boards, embedded systems, AC and DC motors, ESD and EMI suppression, and other analog and digital circuit design Help to choose which electronics activities should be built-up internally and which can be subcontracted, according to criteria like cost, quality, lead time and knowledge buildup Manage internal testing resources and ensure the quality of testing and reporting Evaluates electrical systems, product, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties Maintains product database by writing computer programs; entering data RequirementsHistory of working independently and as a member of a team under time and resource constraints is required Experience indicating strong planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, multi-task and set priorities Evidence of strong technical problem solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for a smooth workflow in a fast paced product development environment Effective interpersonal skills, especially communications, exhibiting ability to express ideas precisely, persuasively and effectively Ability to specify, evaluate and select appropriate electrical/electronic components Have experience working in a design team interfacing with customers, suppliers, and technical resources outside the company Be familiar with firmware/hardware interactions and compliance issues Work Experience/Education: 4-5 years experience working in an electrical engineering role Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required Great Benefits: Medical, FSA, HSA, Dental, Vision, Maternity/Paternity Leave, STD, LTD after 60 days of full-time employment Harmar offers $50,000 Life Insurance first day of employment 401(k) matching after 6 months of full-time employment Paid Vacation time (80 hours) and Sick/Personal time (30 hours) after 90 days of full-time employment Eight Paid Holidays and one Floating Holiday Fitness and PPE Reimbursement Annual Merit Increases and Bonus Potential Harmar Core Values, these are important to us!
