The Role | Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will design a perception system built for action. Complementing the sensor systems mounted on the home, our deterrence suite will respond to threats in the moment, preventing crime before it happens. To this end, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in product development, as well as specifying, wiring and mounting home hardware that meets electrical codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in motor controls, PLC programming, hazard analysis, and safety analysis in compliance with electrical codes.
You Will Contribute By
Designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems and components.
Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant codes and standards.
Running conduit and installing prototype mounting hardware as per electrical codes.
Programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for various applications.
Conducting hazard analysis and safety assessments for electrical installations.
Laying out electrical requirements for new projects and existing systems.
Performing DFMEA to identify potential failure modes and mitigate risks.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Providing technical support and guidance to other team members.
Coordinate with contractors and external vendors for electrical installations
Your Background Includes
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering.
Proficiency in running conduit and mounting hardware in compliance with electrical codes.
Strong knowledge of hazard analysis and safety analysis for electrical systems.
Experience in laying out electrical requirements for complex projects.
Conducting DFMEA for electrical systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Haves (familiarity with/desire to learn)
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in motor controls.
Experience with advanced PLC programming and automation systems.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in electrical engineering.
