The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to perform maintenance of all equipment and property at the facility. The position is also responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in the daily operations and planning of the maintenance department. This is a working leadership role. Duties: Including but not limited to: M ust lead by example in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and discipline to the maintenance process. Monitor daily. Put corrective actions in place when needed. Develop and verify team members can perform per expectations and standards. Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve plant safety, equipment performance, and product quality with regards to equipment functionality. Ensure team members follow maintenance methods that improve equipment uptime and reliability. Works with other shifts to ensure proper pass down and pick up on work and repairs to finish in timely manner. Identifies training, coaching, and encouragement opportunities for all shift team members. Must operate with a sense of urgency and expect the same from all team members. Perform daily maintenance functions to ensure equipment uptime and reliability. Some administrative functions to assist the maintenance Supervisor as assigned. Assists with organizing and coordinating the Maintenance Department activities to repair and maintain production equipment. Identifies urgent maintenance needs and implements immediate solutions. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis to solve problems at the root. When temporary corrective actions are put in place to bring equipment back online to meet schedules, the leader will make plans with Maintenance Supervisor to follow up to put permanent corrective actions in place in a timely manner. Captains' safety for the maintenance team and sets expectations of safe work performed in all maintenance functions, maintaining compliance to all, LOTO, hot work, live work, overhead work, etc. safety programs. Id entifies safety concerns and addresses on the spot and notifies proper parties. Ensures completion of assigned work and the timely completion of all assigned PMs to the shift. Will improve the PM through lessons learned and expect the same from all shift team members. Act as first line of contact for maintenance department for any questions, concerns, or issues Qualifications: High school diploma. Preferred 2-year technical degree with foundry experience. Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical or PLC experience. Five plus years' experience in plant maintenance. Demonstrated organization and delegation ability. Ability to organize and lead a team. Ability to physically inspect plant properties where climbing steps, ladders and physical exertion is a primary responsibility. Must have strong knowledge of foundry equipment and maintenance process to help diagnose problems and fix equipment related issues. Must have good mechanical aptitude, good communication and training skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work without detailed work instructions. Ability to hold all department employees accountable to meeting safety, quality, and performance metrics. Must be able to produce and sustain results that support company and departmental metrics. Strong root cause analysis. Must be able to pass knowledge to all department employees. Microsoft Office IQMS (ERP system – preferred)
