Electrical Staff Engineer

RH2 Engineering is currently seeking an entry-level Electrical Staff Engineer for our Bothell, WA location. About the Position This position serves to work with our clients and staff in the planning, designing, and construction of projects in RH2's areas of expertise. This positions performs work with oversight from a Project Engineer or Project Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned:

Learning to use professional conceptsCollects data and gathers information or documentsPerforms basic computations or analysesObserves project activitiesPrepares base maps from survey drawingsPerforms basic field observations with supervision from Project Engineer/Project ManagerUpdates engineering reports, drawings, figures, and other visual aids based on reviews provided by Project Engineer/Project ManagerGains on-the-job training and experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS, MathCAD, Finite Element Analysis, hydraulic modeling programs, Rocscience, and/or Civiltech AllPile and Shoring SuiteApplies company policies and procedures Works collaboratively both in-person and remotely with teams in multiple offices Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Internship experience in similar environment is highly preferred Strong desire to work in public sector consulting with focus on water, wastewater, transportation, irrigation, and stormwater planning and design projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to respond and adapt to changing project needs and schedules Ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple Project Managers at the same timeThis position has no ongoing employee supervisory responsibilities Education: Bachelor of Science or higher degreein Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Ability to obtain Engineer-In-Training certification within 1 year required; completed Engineer-In-Training certification highly preferred Ability to obtain P.E. license with 4 to 5 years of experience Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred at an intermediate skill levelAutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, MathCAD, Finite Element Analysis, hydraulic modeling, Rocscience, and/or Civiltech AllPile and Shoring Suite software experience is a plus but not required PDF editing software experience is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Individual compensation will vary within the following range based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position $37.00-$42.00. RH2 values our employees' work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week.
