Electrical Tradesperson - Hv Testing

As the Electrical Tradesperson (HV Testing), you will be required to work in a team assisting HV Technicians in undertaking high voltage maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection activities in substations throughout the South West Interconnected Network (SWIN) to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner and in accordance with customer requirements and all applicable guidelines and regulations.
This will include the application of multiple post-trade skills and competencies.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway.
Spanning across 120,000 square meters, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Your Role in ActionParticipating in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards, task variables, and control measures to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable job completion.Maintaining and enhancing core electrical trade skills within changing industry standards and business requirements.Working within a team environment completing work from foundations to fully constructed and maintained substations, often in different locations with unique environmental elements, high standards, and work practice requirements.Undertaking assigned tasks in accordance with the ESSR and Work Practices Manual.Possessing an understanding of Western Power's wiring and documentation practices.What Makes You a Great FitWA 'A' Grade Electrical Workers License.Valid WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence to business requirements.Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support.PC Literacy.Valid High Risk licence class EWP.Demonstrated industry experience as an Electrical Tradesperson.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
