**Job Title: Industrial Electrician Apprentice**
**Job Description**
WHAT THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Read and understand architectural and electrical construction drawings, ladder diagrams, symbols, schedules, etc.

- Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of wall, ceiling, or floor.

- Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, motor control centers, magnetic motor starters, transformers, and other equipment.

- Properly install and connect push-button controls, limit switches, pressure switches, float switches, flow switches, and other types of motor control devices.

- Pull branch circuit wiring and feeder cables through conduit, terminate or splice wires with approved methods and materials.

- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures, motors, motor controllers, transformers, and other power equipment.

- Install control and distribution devices, such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and transformers, fastening in place with approved fasteners.

- Connect power cables to equipment such as electrical motors, motor controllers, transformers, and other customer equipment.
Assure that proper wire sizes and connections are made for voltage, amperage, etc.

- Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments such as volt-ohmmeter, clamp-on ammeter, megger, circuit tracer, continuity tester, and others.

- Observe function of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

- Layout and install electrical work for commercial and industrial projects from information on drawing, sketches, and specifications, following national code guidelines.

- Properly measure, lay out, bend, and thread all types of electrical conduit; (EMT, galvanized rigid, IMC, PVC)
- Deal with customers
- Adhere to safety standards
- Instruct, train, and supervise apprentices.

- Maintain daily time sheet.

**Job Type**
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in WYANDOTTE, Michigan.

**Work Environment**
They will be working in various weather conditions, but mostly industrial.
The environment can range from dirty, dusty, and hot, to cold and inside a temperature-controlled facility.
