Job Summary: As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for ground-up high voltage commercial projects. Your primary role will be to supervise a team of electricians, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with established safety guidelines, project specifications, and industry standards. You will play a crucial role in managing project schedules, coordinating with other contractors, and ensuring the successful completion of electrical projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of electricians on commercial electrical projects, including ground-up construction projects. Interpret and implement electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project workflow. Plan and schedule daily tasks for the electrical team, ensuring that deadlines are met. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment. Train and mentor electricians, providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and address any issues or deviations from project requirements. Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve any technical or logistical challenges that may arise during the construction process. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of electrical materials and equipment. Monitor project budgets and control costs to maximize profitability. Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and enhance professional knowledge. Qualifications:
Journeyman electrician or above with a valid electrical license. Proven experience in ground-up high voltage commercial electrical roles. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools. Solid understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
