We work closely with their host communities to create enduring social and economic value through local employment, infrastructure and facilities development and community investment programs.The location of this role is the Hermosa Project site near Patagonia, ArizonaThe RoleA s a site electrician your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a safe and productive work environment, assisting, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical, electronic and instrumentation systems.Accountabilities (Include but are not limited to) :Individual Accountabilities:Follow all site Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements and standards. Compliance with statutory regulations. Maintain scheduled work and fill out work orders upon task completion. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to use SAP. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Skills, and Expertise:Ged or high school diploma required. National, State, and local electrical codes Electrical license/MSHA Electrical Certification Electrical license Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs/ladders, etc 2+ years of proven electrical experience in an industrial or process environment Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment Experience with PLCs, VFDs, Soft-Start and Basic Operational Control System Circuitry preferred Experience in collecting and entering data Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment Must be able to read electrical prints and schematics AC and/or DC controls Our CultureAt South32, our people are fundamental to our success.
