Minimum Qualifications: As a successful Electrician you will have: 1.Minimum 2 year degree from accredited college or university in related field 2.Minimum 2 years experience in electrical field 3.Class A Journeyworker minimum, Master prefered 4.Provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and applicable driving record 5.An understanding of electrical theory and application How To Apply Knife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.

Duties & Responsibilities 1.Responsible to safely install and repair electrical systems and electrical components at asphalt plants and aggregate equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications using hand tools, power tools and electrical equipment.
2.Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following blueprints and electrical codes using hand tools and voltage tester.
3.Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires using hand tools.
4.Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as circuit boards, soft starts, PLC5, VFD2 & remote-control systems 5.May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
6.Replaces faulty electrical components of machine and positions sensing devices using hand tools.
Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
7.Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations.
Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
8.Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
Provide and maintain proper licensure, medical cared & acceptable driving record.
9.Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance 10.Performs other duties as assigned.
