Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Responsible for educating plant personnel on proper equipment operation, tuning and maintenance Daily involvement in either long distance or hands-on troubleshooting Responsible for maintaining records and logs for various programs Daily communication with both management and hourly employees at the Plant and Corporate Levels Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's/Associates degree, applicable training certification, or related work experience. Willingness to travel about 80%, including some international travel. Demonstrated ability to perform and excel within an ever changing and dynamic environment. Have the ability to program and understand sorting machine programs and PLC code. Proficient in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Rockwell Controls Software and AutoCAD desirable. Open to working flexible hours in order to meet production goals. Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in mechanical conveying systems, low pressure ( Basic understanding in the principles of eddy current and electro-magnetic induction sensor/sorting technologies is preferred. Strong analytical, problem solving and systems assessment skills Strong problem resolution skills and the ability to readily identify system deficiencies.
