About the OpportunityUnder minimal direction, and in collaboration with the manager, program coordinator, and medical directors, the Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technologist is responsible for performing and evaluating Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings, long-term EEG Telemetry monitoring and/or Nerve Conduction Studies and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials. The Technologist also maintains and cleans equipment used within the laboratory.
The Technologist facilitates communication among health care professionals (for example, biomedical engineering staff, physicians, nurses, and unit clerks). Participates in the education and training of student technologists, neurology residents, and other medical personnel. Assists with the planning and implementation of research and clinical protocols.

Grade 12 or equivalent requiredRegistration or eligibility with the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC) and/or the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalography Technologists (CBRET)Proficient in all techniques required for electroneurophysiology testingKnowledge of normal neurophysiology, anatomy, and pathological statesSkilled in the recording and analysis of both surface and invasive EEG recordingFamiliarity with Natus Neuroworks EEG recording system and/or the Mayo Clinic protocols for nerve conduction studies considered an assetAble to work under minimal supervisionCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
