Electronic Engineering Technologist [Advanced Training]: The TXRX Labs Electronic Engineering Technologist (EET) Extended Training is a certification-aligned, intensive hands-on 4-week training program that will prepare students to produce professional electronic components upon completion.
After an initial week of foundational skill-building and electronic theory, students will immediately begin assembling non-critical, real-world electronic devices for our employer partners. Professional quality and efficient production become an immediate training standard and practiced over two weeks begin to become a personal standard.
Students will become skilled in class-3 soldering techniques and will be encouraged to apply and test for IPC-J-STD-001 certification. Likewise, students will become skilled in WHMA wire harnessing techniques and standards and will be encouraged to apply and test for the WHMA-A-620. Although certifications may help students earn a job, we have found that true skills and experience are more important to employers.
