Job Description:
Client is currently seeking a Technician Test candidate to join our team due to growth at our East Camden, Arkansas, facility. In this role, you will work with a team of technician(s) to test, troubleshoot and help to resolve issues on various types of hardware ranging from missile guidance sets, full-up missiles, launch containers, and large wheeled and tracked military vehicles. Tests may involve any manner of variables, including but not limited to pressure, vacuum, load testing, electronic and physical functionality, and hydraulic/pneumatic operations. Processes may include the use of hand tools to maintain test equipment, install missile or vehicle components, and mate/demate electronic contacts and cables. Using both computerized test stations and handheld instruments such as digital voltmeters/ohmmeters, the Test Technician will regularly liaise with Production Engineering located offsite as well as local engineering groups to troubleshoot, determine, and accurately document the causes of various test failures. Interfacing with the US Government customer is frequently required in this position.
The current work schedule at the Camden facility is 4-10 hour days from 6am-4:30pm. This Camden program may require overtime relative to current schedules to meet Production needs (is so, the weekend/Overtime schedule begins at 5am). With some exceptions, travel is generally NOT REQUIRED.
Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic Qualifications :
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience/combined education.
Ability to work in an Explosive environment.
The ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance is required for this position.
Desired Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a standard digital multimeter (DMM)
Familiarity with advanced test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital power supplies, signal generators, digital multimeters
Familiarity with the mate/demate of electrical contacts and connectors
Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles
Familiarity with working in a "teaming environment
Good communication skills, including interface with USG Customer
Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9000 systems a plus
Basic blueprint reading/understanding of schematics a plus
Familiarity with MS Office Suite a plus
