Job Title: Electronics Technician Location: Quantico, VA Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 Annually (Permanent, Full-Time) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician to support the Marine Corps Air Facility (MCAF) Quantico, Virginia, in delivering critical Flight Clearance and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Maintenance services. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of air traffic systems at MCAF Quantico, aligning with the facility's mission to provide comprehensive airfield services. The Communications Electronics Technician will perform planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance while supporting training and maintaining administrative records for ATC systems. Key Responsibilities: System Maintenance and Checks: Conduct preventive maintenance and daily operational checks per MCIEAST-MCB CAMLEJO 3721.1 and OPNAVINST 4790.4 . Execute corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with FAA flight inspection standards and certifications. Perform certifying ground inspections for FAA flight-inspectable systems. Training and Qualifications: Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) and NAALS systems training to new Electronics Technicians. Ensure qualifications align with MCIEAST-MCB CAMLEJO 3721.1 standards. Administrative Duties: Complete and maintain maintenance data collection forms, inspection reports, training materials, logbooks, and equipment forms. Submit timely status and compliance reports for facilities and equipment. System Expertise: Handle complex repairs, including analog-to-digital interface systems, antenna systems, fiber optics, and RF waveguides. Isolate malfunctions using advanced electronic test equipment. Perform corrosion control measures and ensure system certifications are up-to-date. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Clearance: Must possess or have previously held a Secret Clearance (expired but not revoked). Training: Successfully complete government-provided indoctrination training and system proficiency evaluations. Certifications: AN/FYC-22 Visual Information Display System AN/FSC-127 Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch (ETVS) CM-300 Radios Experience: 3+ years working with AN/FYC-22, AN/FSC-127, and CM-300 systems. 5+ years in ATC system maintenance, including: Repairing analog-to-digital interface systems. Diagnosing malfunctions using voltage checks and electronic test equipment. Maintaining antenna systems and performing corrosion control. Ensuring ATC system compliance with FAA flight checks and certifications. DOD or FAA electronics course completion or accredited electronics certification. Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows OS (3.1 and higher), DOS, and MS Office. Familiarity with telecommunications principles and troubleshooting techniques. Network administration experience is a plus. Other Requirements: Ability to perform under minimal supervision. Proficient in through-hole and surface-mount soldering for component-level repairs. CPR qualified (must maintain certification for the contract duration). Key Skills and Competencies: Strong technical and analytical skills.
