Our practice includes a robust team of 20 specialists covering non-invasive, interventional, structural heart, and electrophysiology (EP) cardiology. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join our dynamic and growing team.
Position Overview:
As an Electrophysiology Cardiologist at Bon Secours, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that provides advanced cardiovascular care. You will have the opportunity to perform a full array of EP procedures and work with state-of-the-art technology in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role includes a balanced schedule of 3 procedure days and 2 full clinic days per week. The call schedule is 1:7 (weekday). Current providers are seeing 28-30 patients in a full day of clinic with Advanced Practice Clinician support for both outpatient and inpatient.
Key Responsibilities: Perform a comprehensive range of electrophysiological procedures, including AV node ablations, permanent pacemaker (PPM) placements, insertable cardiac monitors (ILR), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), venograms, and Watchman device implants.EP procedures are scheduled between EP labs at both St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA and St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA.Collaborate with a diverse team of cardiologists, including non-invasive, interventional, and structural heart specialists, as well as an Advanced Heart Failure program and CV Surgery team.Provide exceptional patient care through accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Qualifications: MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology.Fellowship training and board certification in Electrophysiology.Proven experience in performing a wide range of electrophysiological procedures.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.Excellent communication skills, both with patients and within the medical team.
