Technical/Functional Skills 5+ years of experience working in electronics product development- preferred Automotive. 3+ years of experience leading a software team. Experience with leading at least one project from development into production. Knowledge of Inverters, Control boards / ECUs, Interconnects, Connection systems, Traction motors, Actuator Motors, TMR Sensors, Temp Sensors, Cooling pumps. Experience Required Experience of Software project management, planning, monitoring, discussion with stakeholders.
Technical understanding of the product Demonstrate understanding of new product development cycles and criticality of time to develop and launch.
Ability to grasp complex technical topics, key issues, risks in actionable form.
Experience as a lead (technical) engineer or leading group of engineers Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and communication skills with teams and Management, customers Utilize Microsoft Project for planning and ability to create and maintain metrics.
Roles & Responsibilities Lead a diverse team of software engineers to deliver embedded controls software for state-of-the-art automotive products in the Automotive Electronics, Driveline domain. Work across multiple domains (software, controls, EE-Hardware, software validation, systems, system test, manufacturing, and project management) to deliver an Electronic Control Unit with Software. Breakdown work scope for implementation in SW releases, from Epics, Stories, SCR's and Tasks using RTC tool, assign to leads and engineers (20+ engineers). Manage work division for development teams (internal as well as third party). Lead daily scrum meetings & closely follow-up implementation. Lead Change Control Board with stakeholders in determining work scope. Lead software issue management - assign, follow-up, and close issues in RTC. Create summaries routinely to report progress to customer, review and negotiate implementation scope. Monitor overall project progress including extended remote development teams, third party deliverables, and track open items. Develop, maintain, and execute the software development plan, Create accuracy and clarity in Project planning, measure and report critical metrics on execution. Simplify complexity, create summaries with metrics for regular reporting of project status to management team. Support Programs from Program initiation to Production, meeting all internal and customer milestones in between. Lead team to meet technical, quality and project budget targets. Support development of the software architecture, software requirements, software development plans, and software test plans. Negotiate software delivery content with the customer, set implementation and defect resolution priorities, manage release activities, incorporate ASPICE activities into software project plans. Identify risks, define mitigation strategies and execute them when needed. Define acceptance criteria for deliverables from remote development teams (including cross-divisional teams) and third-party suppliers. Plan and conduct software quality gate reviews. Ensure software development, validation, and delivery are according to ISO26262 and ASPICE process guidelines. Manage, track, and drive to resolution project software issues. Coordinate and Collaborate with Electronics, Controls and Software Project Manager & Systems Project Managers on a regular basis to adhere to the Program Milestones. Preferred Strong leadership, planning, monitoring, and communication skills. Experience in software project management, risk management and supplier management Knowledge of change management & version management Experience with embedded C. Experience with developing and or integrating AUTOSAR compliant software. Experience with developing software that adheres to secure coding principles. Experience with automotive communication, CAN, CANFD, FlexRay and Ethernet. Experience with functional safety (ISO26262) and Automotive Cybersecurity. Practical knowledge of ASPICE. Exposure to Agile development methods. Knowledge about tool qualification Knowledge of review techniques and methods Knowledge in problem management and problem solving (8D) Technical knowledge of driveline systems Knowledge on driveline-SW architecture and SW safety concept Knowledge of production interface Experience in requirements management
