As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. Currently, we are seeking Emergency Management Planners to serve on an on-call basis as members of our firm's Response Cadre. These are short-term contract positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice to a state or local Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and/or at a field site, as designated by our client's needs. Candidates for these response missions must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notice and remain on-site for at least 30 days. During an activation, Emergency Management Planners will work to support the successful completion of our client's incident objectives and coordinate with various partner agencies and Emergency Support Functions (ESFs).

Candidates for the roles of the Emergency Management Planners: Response Cadre must possess the following qualifications:
Willing and able to be on-call for travel within 24 to 72 hours of notice and to remain deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.A bachelor's degree or higher.At least three (3) years of professional experience in emergency management or a related field.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a focus on the development of plans, procedures, and other deliverables.An understanding of the emergency management system and how jurisdictions coordinate together during large-scale incidents.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).The ability to provide summary products for leadership.A willingness to be on site working with a client for more than one month.The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client's operational tempo.The ability to remain calm and poised under pressure, work successfully on multiple priorities simultaneously, and remain focused when working under tight deadlines.The ability to be flexible and demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all endeavors.Candidates for the roles of Emergency Management Planners: Response Cadre may also have the following qualifications:
The desire to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.Experience researching complex issues and presenting outcomes and insights to a supervisor or large audience.Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or as part of an Incident Management Team (IMT).Experience implementing incident objectives with a diverse set of agencies and stakeholders.Experience working as part of a Planning Section on a previous disaster.National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials.Hagerty Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
