Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained Possess strong communication skills Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills Incentive/Position Details: 13,800 annual volume 9 ED beds 24 hours of physician coverage Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a MediTech EMR Trauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Childrens Hospital 1099 position - up to 120 hours available Meditech EMR Methodist ER De Zavalaand Methodist Healthcare System: The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.
Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image San Antonio is home to 2.5 million people and is experiencing solid economic growth in industries such as bioscience and healthcare, aerospace, IT and cybersecurity and green technologies.
