The caretaker will oftentimes provide first response to maintenance concerns and may provide oversight of contractors completing projects. The caretaker plays an essential role in providing a comfortable and safe living environment for Stratton's team members. This position qualifies for free employee housing if needed. There are full-time year-round, and seasonal opportunities available. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr depending on experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Daily/weekly checks of common areas and rooms General system checks (boiler, fire suppression, etc.) Ground maintenance (leaf, lawn and snow management) Snow removal, including plowing, sanding, salting Light maintenance to include tasks including carpet cleaning, painting, light carpentry repairs, light fixture maintenance Trash and recycling duties EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: High School diploma, or equivalent preferred Experience: Previous experience working as a caretaker, janitor, carpenter or maintenance personnel QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Basic working knowledge of carpentry, painting, building repairs, plumbing, and/or electrical maintenance Basic computer skills Excellent communication skills Valid drivers' license Ability to operate a pick-up truck Ability to multi-task Ability to work unsupervised Team Player TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Local travel between the resort and assigned housing properties. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING This position will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
