Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist

Shift: C/D Shift; Nights 545pm-6am, 2-2-3 fixed schedule
Direct Report: Employee Relations Senior Specialist We are looking for an experienced Specialist to lead HR Employee Relations (night shift) to actively participate in establishing positive employee relations within the Company. This includes actively leading and supporting the activities and staff involved in developing and maintaining employee relation activities, policies, and procedures. Maintains and promotes effective employee relations objectives and programs which support the attainment of company objectives through proper utilization of human resources. This role is to evolve into a force for continuous improvement of employee morale while maintaining orderly utilization of human capital through ensuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. You will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using HR software and tools.
Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.
Leads the interpretation and implementation of established human resources policies and procedures throughout the companyLeads the overall direction of the Company employee relations, training programs, and ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity regulationsMaintains government contacts and up-to-date information on regulations and laws affecting employee relationsAssists in promoting and enhancing the Company's imageParticipates in community affairs and represents the company in professional organizationsDevelops and recommends programs for the establishment of performance standards for employeesAssists in developing methods for establishing standards for hourly & salaried personnelRecruits, interviews, and references applicants for open positions. Works with outside consultants as necessaryAnalyse issues such as absenteeism, leave status, consistent policy application, safety, productivity, etc. to determine employee relations climate and to drive approved recommendations for improvementLeads and drives the development and coordination of programs and plans to improve employee morale and ensure employee involvementRecommends and coordinates training and management development activitiesComply with and actively support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures of the CompanyMust effectively utilize time and prioritize activities to ensure at least 50% of time is spent on workforce development and morale enhancementMust operate as an advocate for both employees and the Company consistent with Company policies, external laws and regulations and common senseLeads internal investigations and audits regarding compliance with external laws, regulations, and applicable Company policiesFollows Company policies and procedures in assisting with employment determinationsPerform other duties as required Education:
(Required) Bachelor's Degree(Preferred) Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior/Psychology, or a closely related major Experience:
(Required) Several years of relevant HR experience or 2+ years of direct HR-Employee Relations experience(Preferred) Managerial experience(Preferred) Previous experience in the manufacturing industry Physical Demands:
