They regularly advises employers on compliance and claim prevention, and represent both employers and employees in state and federal court and before the Department of Labor, Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulations, Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, Montgomery County Office of Human Rights, Howard County of Human Rights, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the following types of matters:
Wage Issues
Discrimination Issues
Sexual Harassment and Abuse
Employee Contract and Severance Negotiations
Equal Pay Act
FMLA and Medical Leave Issues
Retaliation Issues
Wrongful Terminations

Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join our growing legal team.
This is a permanent position, ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, whistleblower litigation, retaliation, discrimination, wage disputes, severance issues, equal pay act, and FMLA.

Responsibilities:
As an Employment Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1.
Representing clients in a wide range of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, whistleblower litigation, retaliation, discrimination, wage disputes, severance issues, equal pay act, and FMLA.

2.
Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and participating in discovery.

3.
Conducting legal research, analyzing complex legal issues, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.

4.
Negotiating settlements and representing clients at mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

5.
Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law matters.

6.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

7.
Staying current on developments in employment law and informing clients of relevant changes that may affect their cases.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Employment Litigation Attorney position will have the following qualifications:

1.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2.
Admission to the Maryland state bar and in good standing.

3.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.

4.
Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including wrongful termination, whistleblower litigation, retaliation, discrimination, wage disputes, severance issues, equal pay act, and FMLA.

5.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.

6.
Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills.

7.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively with a team.

8.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

9.
Ability to manage a high caseload and work effectively under pressure.

10.
Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

11.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

12.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
