Our client, a major financial company, is seeking a skilled and experienced End Of Life Asset Manager - Servers to assist them in their IT End-of-Life Lifecycle and Vulnerability Remediation efforts.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing vulnerability remediation processes to maintain the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
This is a long term contract with 3 days onsite in Midtown, Manhattan and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities: Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware and software, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements according to the end-of-life schedules. Vulnerability Remediation: Lead the identification, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with security standards. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, for lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation initiatives. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all IT assets and remediation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to management and other stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with end-of-life assets and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement and disposal of IT assets, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service
Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT asset lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft suite Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and vulnerability management tools Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.PRO038
