Endocrinologist

Details of the offer

This position is predominantly outpatient, four clinic days per week, with limited inpatient consultation, as inpatient diabetes care is provided by the hospitalist service. The clinic has excellent resources and expertise for insulin pump management and diabetes education and is equipped with a dedicated ultrasound for thyroid imaging and biopsies. There is outstanding collaboration among surgical colleagues for thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Given the average two month waiting period for general endocrinology referrals, you would be able to build your practice with new referrals including patients that have thyroid cancer, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and diabetes mellitus. Opportunities exist to teach University of Washington Medical School (WWAMI) third and fourth year medical students.
