Job Title: Summer Student Engagement Coordinator


Salary/Grade: Salary paid monthly based on hours worked



Hours Per Week: 20-40 hours; Temporary Summer Position



Job Summary: Student Activities Focus
Primary responsibilities for Student Activities: Assist with the coordination of major Welcome Week events, specifically signature events: Mega Fair, Involvement Week, and Student Org Training. Assist in the development and design of the Fall Events Calendar by contracting, emailing vendors, confirming room and catering details. Work collaboratively with the Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) Ambassadors to design the curriculum for the Miami Bound pre-semester program focusing on student involvement opportunities for first-year students. Create benchmarking data, learning objectives and goals for Student Activities based on NACA competencies.
Secondary Responsibilities: Plan logistics and develop curriculum for Red Brick Rewards. Assist in the process of creating marketing plans and branding materials for the Center for Student Engagement, Activities, and Leadership. Assist in assessment initiatives for programs and student leaders.


Leadership and Community Service and Engagement Focus
RedHawk Day of Service Program: Support and facilitate Wilks' largest community engagement event, and provide support for online programming dedicated to leadership development and exploration.

Serve on the RedHawk Day of Service Committee Other duties as assigned by Wilks Institute Staff Additional responsibilities can be assigned as interested Duties/Physical Demands: Event planning logistics for signature events
Benchmarking and assessing data on learning objectives and goals
Curriculum planning
Creating marketing materials and plans

Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate degree
Work experience in student activities, fraternity and sorority life, student leadership development, or community service and engagement

Desired Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Student Affairs, Higher Education, College Student Services, or similar at an accredited institution
