About the location: Your West Coast home away from home. About the role: At Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, the Engineer 3 provides service and repairs as outlined in the Technical Skills List, depending on grade level, for electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, refrigeration, interior, paint, and decorating problems.
What you will do: Provide machinist work to all equipment such as replacing and repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, control mechanism, etc.Maintain swimming pools and spa including cleaning, chemical balance, filter backwash, and heaters.Maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the Residence Club, including socket repair and replacement.Install electrical wiring for renovations, electrical outlet additions, motors, and associated equipment.Lubricate machinery on a regular basis and provide preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas as well as of all electrical equipment, updating maintaining appropriate logs for all work performed while on duty.Clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.Adjust and clean televisions.Respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public areas in a timely manner.Assist guests with special requests such as opening luggage when keys are lost.Assist on all plumbing stoppages in the building.Repair an assortment of items brought to the shop by other departments.Respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.Clean grease traps, filters and drains, assemble desks, shelving, cabinets, etc. as assigned.Assist engineers on major shutdowns for repairs.Install or relocate any addition or existing equipment when necessary.Take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant.Check all mechanical rooms.Clean gas burners, charcoal burners, fixtures and shades.Unplug toilets, change out valves and valve seats, treat urinals with de-liming solution.Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons.Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.Respond properly to any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.What you bring: Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.Four-year technical training and field experience as a machinist.Valid California Driver's License.Background with laundry, HVAC, and kitchen equipment.Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO certification) preferred.What we offer: Hourly Rate: $26.00401(k) Retirement Savings Plan.Excellent training and development opportunities.Exclusive discount and travel programs with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.Complimentary dry cleaning for employee uniforms.Complimentary employee meals.Schedule & Hours: Full time.
