What you'll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Position Overview: As a High Voltage Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of high voltage hardware components for our electric vehicle energy systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of high voltage systems. This position requires a strong background in high voltage hardware design, a passion for renewable energy, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology.
Key Responsibilities: High Voltage Hardware Design: Design and develop high voltage hardware components, including power electronics, inverters, converters, and other related systems. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration into electric vehicle architectures. Circuit Simulation and Analysis: Conduct circuit simulations and analyses to optimize the performance and efficiency of high voltage systems. Implement design improvements based on simulation results. Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes of high voltage hardware components and conduct thorough testing and validation. Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement and refine hardware designs accordingly. Safety Compliance: Ensure high voltage hardware designs comply with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with functional safety and compliance teams to meet industry requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, firmware developers, and control systems engineers to integrate high voltage hardware into overall vehicle systems. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support the production and assembly of high voltage components. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and reports for high voltage hardware components. Maintain accurate records of design changes and iterations. Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years' experience in high voltage hardware design, preferably in the electric vehicle or renewable energy industry. Proficiency in circuit simulation tools and analysis. Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing of high voltage systems. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to high voltage systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000-$150,000
