What you will be working on:
As the VDI Engineer, you will:
Design and define VDI system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinate system development, including design modeling, security integration, and formal testing. Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. Act as the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Be experienced in system design and integration, identity lifecycle management, and process automation and improvement. Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues. Provide guidance on the optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as a liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies. Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks related to Virtual Desktops. Maintain advanced knowledge relative to the administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI-related technologies. Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders. Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines. Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions. What you will bring to us (Must): Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products. 1.5+ years of experience with a BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education. Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer. Proficiency with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later, Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS), Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX, Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Citrix App Layering, Liquidware Profile Unity, and Hyper-V, VMware VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs). Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired): Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering. Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc. Familiarity with System Center Virtual Machine Manager/VMware vCenter 6.7. Knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policies, Home Directory and Profile management, and Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services.
