What you will be doing:
Play a critical role in the development, design, and maintenance ofAmerican Express Commercial APIs
Architect large-scale distributed systems that ensurecontinued success
Work across the engineering team to build new product features and services
Lead,mentor,and learn withotherdevelopers in all aspects of planning,development,and testing
Be a catalyst for driving best-in-class technology practices and patterns while staying engaged with the latest technology trends
What we are looking for in you:

Qualifications:
Strong experience working in any of the followingbackendlanguages:Java,Kotlin, C#, Scala
Knowledge of frameworks and tools in the respective languageenablingeffectiveand efficientdevelopment
Understanding and interest in architectural patterns for highly available, scalable, low-latency, asynchronous systems (for example, well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
Knowledgeof the advantages and challenges associated with the implementation ofmicro-servicesarchitecture
Exposurewith any cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
Bonus Experience: Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes
Threeor more years of relevant industry experience
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
