The Team – Network Compliance & Automation (NCA)
The Network Compliance & Automation team, is part of the Distributed Infrastructure & Data Services (DI&DS) organization.The team is responsible for all network automation efforts, the development, maintenance and support of our in-house developed applications, and network compliance related objectives.As a member of this team, the candidate would support, develop and maintain these applications.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation and machine learning solutions to support customer journeys at scale. This role involves collaborating closely with Network Infrastructure Engineers to build a highly resilient and scalable platform. This role will be critical in developing anomaly detection and self-healing solutions utilizing machine learning for network infrastructure appliances. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automating operations, developing new features, optimizing the code base, and continuous learning in the ever evolving cloud engineering space.This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driving improvements in network reliability and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement Python-based algorithms to detect anomalies in statistical data related to network device operations and event occurrences.
Analyze patterns in network behavior to proactively identify potential issues, performance bottlenecks, and self-healing opportunities.
Write and maintain Python scripts to collect data from network devices and related systems and ensure that it is properly structured and stored in our databases.
Partner with network infrastructure engineers to understand data requirements and develop solutions that enhance network performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2-3 year of Python development, particularly in data analytics and automation
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, time-series modeling and anomaly detection techniques
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL Databases
Familiarity with network Infrastructure concepts, including alarms, events, and device management
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and customers
Experience with Kafka, Git, Linux command line
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of network monitoring tools including: Splunk, DxNetops (aka Spectrum), AKIPs,
Experience utilizing the following Python libraries: Scikit learn, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib
Ability to translate business requirements into solutions. Successful track record of delivering quality results in sophisticated multi-functional projects. Ability to influence multi-functional teams, business and vendor partners, and technology leaders.
Ability to stay engaged with constantly evolving container technology trends and use that knowledge to improve resiliency of the platforms.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
