Responsibilities What You'll Do: In support of NSCWDD's B (Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems) Department, Codes B40 and B60, provide sensor systems expertise across the entire acquisition lifecycle from concept exploration through sustainment of US Navy (USN) and US Marine Corps (USMC) radar systems. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and execution of systems engineering plans from requirements identification through design verification. Perform technical analysis and systems engineering support to facilitate aspects of architecture design, interoperability, specification analysis and development, solutions implementation and systems sustainment. Develop test and evaluation documentation, including laboratory testing plans and usability engineering documents. Research and develop systems/subsystem specification documents, ensuring compliance and consistency of requirements. Support signal processing activities, including waveform and electronic protection development. Duties may be conducted in various environments, including field work in direct support of USN/USMC organizations. Qualifications Minimum Qualification: Education/Professional Certifications: Must meet one or more of the following: (a) A Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program. (b) A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics. (c) A Master's degree in relevant fields. (d) A Ph.D. in relevant fields. General Sensor Engineering Experience: Minimum ten (10) years with a Bachelor's, eight (8) years with a Master's, or five (5) years with a Ph.D. Specialized Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in complex radar system engineering or software development. Solid technical background in formulating opinions and decisions related to contract tasks.
