Job SummaryThis position will provide contract administration/direct engineering supervision on bridge/highway construction projects to ensure compliance with contract provision and MnDOT policies.

QualificationsMinimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications for Engineer Senior: To qualify for Engineer Senior, applicants must meet all the following:
Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)Minimum Qualifications for Engineer 2 Graduate: To qualify for Engineer 2 Graduate, applicants must meet all the following:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC.A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.Two years post-graduation civil engineering work.OR A Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC ANDA passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examOne (1) year of post-graduate civil engineering work.OR Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals & Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge and application of all phases of construction including surveying, material testing, earthwork, bridges, safety, and traffic control, etc.Experience preparing cost estimates for all items required to implement supplemental agreements.Knowledge of soils engineering principles, highway drainage engineering principles, and traffic engineering principles.Knowledge and experience with MnDOT policies, procedures and state and federal OSHA rules and regulations.Additional RequirementsREFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS:
