Job Description You will join our REC department As our new Engineer - Roads, you will be part of a world-class, innovation-driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Carrying out the design and reviewing the work of less experienced engineers and CAD technicians in the team while maintaining the quality of deliverables. Overseeing and troubleshooting the work of geometric design of urban/rural roads, guiding the less experienced engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings. Taking initiatives to develop the design ability of the less experienced engineers and improve the quality of delivery of the team as a whole. Mentoring less experienced engineers and providing inputs to HoD/Technical manager for the continued development of the staff in the team. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/ M. Tech would be desirable. Knowledge in roads design and design codes like Euro code/DMRB/AASHTO/any other international standards would be desirable. Understanding of the analysis and design principles of roads design. Hands-on experience in using any of the road design software (InRoads/Openroads/Novapoint/Civil 3D/MX Roads etc). Knowledge of other related software like AutoTURN/AutoTrack/Pathplanner etc. would be desirable. Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/Microstation and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognized standard formats. Good communication skills and ability to present work effectively. A good team member who can coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of projects. Professional English language skills (written and verbal). Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Flexible attitude in an environment with frequently changing deadlines. Commitment to both work and personal development, with a willingness to widen experience. Knowledge of Microsoft applications. Good level of written and spoken English. Experience Required: 5-8 Years
