Your Role:
•Provide leadership in development and implementation of mid to large scale water/wastewater or environmental infrastructure or remediation projects.
•Understand client requirements, target those that will lead to successful pursuits of projects, and bring clients together with Tetra Tech capabilities.
•Reach across and outside the company to build strategic relationships focused on breaking into new markets or major contracts.
•Develop and implement procedures for planning, design, and construction management to meet project objectives
•Manage project financials including all aspects of budgets, costs, and contingencies
•Provide project-level financial progress reports
•Manage multiple, concurrent projects, from project development through construction completion to meet client objectives
•Identify and implement effective systems and/or software for project success, including project management information systems, document management systems, relevant water/wastewater modeling tools, etc.
•Assist clients with strategic planning for prioritization of projects
•Assist in regulatory relations, negotiations, conducting and leading meetings, and routine reporting
•Provide mentorship of program team staff to support the growth of individuals in support of successful delivery of projects
•Conduct value engineering reviews, integrated planning, project cost reviews
•Work with established Health and Safety group to ensure staff safety during all aspects of projects
•Monitor Quality Assurance procedures and recommend necessary changes
•Monitor and resolve construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree (B.S.)
in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering is required.
Advanced degree is preferred.
•Minimum 12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in the engineering consulting market is required.
•10+ years of experience in design of environmental and water/wastewater-related projects including pumping, piping, and treatment facilities is preferred.
Such experience would encompass all phases of design, including conceptual/feasibility evaluations, preparation of design reports, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, support of office and field-related construction services, and system optimization, maintenance, and monitoring post-construction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Possession of a professional registration in New Hampshire, Maine, or Massachusetts (i.e., Professional Engineer (PE)) is required or the ability to get comity licensure within 2 months of being hired.
Additional northeastern state PE is desirable.
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
•40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training is preferred.
Other OSHA training (10 hour or 30-hour Construction) is desirable.
•Proven record of building and leading teams that solve complex problems
